I – INTRODUCTION

The long awaited Insect archetype has finally arrived, and boy they make up for the years of neglect. Inzektors are a group of DARK Insect-type monsters that made their debut in Order of Chaos (ORCS). From their appearance, they have a striking resemblance to Kamen Riders. They work by equip to each other, similarly to Dragunity, and then gaining effects when the equipped monster is sent to the grave. So far, all the low level Inzecter are able to equip an Inzecter from the grave or Hand and when equipped to a monster, increase its level by 3. Meanwhile the high level Inzektors are able to equip to a face-up Inzektor from the hand and when sent to the grave while equipped , they can special summon an Inzektor from the grave.

II – THE CARDS

Quote :
Inzektor Hornet
DARK / Insect / Level 3 / 500atk / 200 def
Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster in your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, increase the equipped monster's Level by 3, and the equipped monster gains ATK and DEF equal to this card's ATK and DEF, respectively. You can send this Equip Card to the Graveyard to target 1 card on the field; destroy it.
The destruction. Rejoice, because it hitting any card is now confirmed. This card is AMAZING. It being the only “You can send this Equip Card to the Graveyard to . . . ” means it’s an instant add. In partnership with the cards below, you’ll be making a colossal amount of advantage each turn.
Run 3. All build. No exceptions.

Quote :
Inzektor Dragonfly
DARK / Insect / Level 3 / 1000atk / 1800def
Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster in your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, increase the equipped monster's Level by 3. If an Equip Card equipped to this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Inzektor" monster from Deck, except "Inzecter Damsel".
The swarmer. If Hornet gets the ball rolling, then Dragonfly attaches a rocket to it. After using Hornet’s effect you can special summon ANY Inzektor monster. And if their low level, they can equip Hornet as well! Decent defense means it can provide some stall capabilities but it should mainly be used for offense.
Run 3. All builds. No exceptions

Quote :
Inzektor Centipede
DARK / Insect / Level 3 / 1600atk / 1200def
Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster in your hand or Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, increase the equipped monster's Level by 3. If an Equip Card equipped to this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Inzektor" monster from your Deck to your hand.
The recruiter. Usually Special summoned by Dragonfly, this card is able to add any Inzektor to your hand. Most times it’s Dragonfly to do the combo all over again next turn but different situations calls for different actions.
Run 3. All builds

Quote :
Inzektor Ant
DARK / Insect / Level 3 / 200atk / 600def
Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster in your hand or your Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped to a monster, increase the equipped monster's Level by 3, and ATK and DEF by this card's ATK and DEF, respectively. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead.
The protection. Doesn’t live up to its brethren’s high standards but still a useful card. With most of the lower level Inzektor being weak, this card let you maintain field presence without you having to synchro or xyz summon. The speed at which the archetype thins your deck, having that other option for Dragonfly and Centipede isn’t a bad thing. Not essential, but nice to have.
Run 0 – 1.

Quote :
Inzektor Giga-Mantis
DARK / Insect / Level 6 / 2400atk / 0def
You can equip this card from your hand to 1 face-up "Inzektor" monster you control. While this card is equipped to a monster, the equipped monster's original ATK becomes 2400. If this Equip Card is sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Inzektor" monster from your Graveyard, except "Inzektor Gigamantis". The effect of "Inzektor Gigamantis" can only be activated once per turn.

Inzektor Giga-Weevil
DARK / Insect / Level 6 / 0atk / 2600def
You can equip this card from your hand to 1 face-up "Inzektor" monster you control. While this card is equipped to a monster, the equipped monster's original DEF becomes 2600. If this Equip Card is sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Inzektor" monster from your Graveyard. The effect of "Inzektor Gigaweevil" can only be activated once per turn.
The sword and shield. These monsters provide the lower level Inzektors the strength to deal with bigger monsters. The special summon from graveyard effect is also a nice addition that allows reuse of Inzektors. They have the Alkys ruling so be careful how they are sent to the grave. They can lead into some mind spinning combos but needing an Inzecter on the field can lead to them being dead draws.
Run 0 – 3 in total.

Quote :
Inzektor Exa-Beetle
DARK / Insect / Rank 6 / 1000atk / 1000def
2 Level 6 monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can equip 1 monster from either player's Graveyard to this card. This card gains ATK and DEFequal to half of the Equip Card's ATK and DEF, respectively. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1face-up card you control and 1 face-up card your opponentcontrols; send them to the Graveyard.
The boss. The first Rank 6 xyz, and boy is it a beauty. Stealing a monster from the grave can cause major disruption but most liking you’ll be equipping Gigamantis to get its atk to 3600. The second effect looks similar to Scrap Dragon. It traded the ability to destroy face-down cards for send them to the grave (Suck it Stardust Dragon). Good effect. Good boss. Problem being is that Inzektor have access to other great Boss monsters that can be summoned easier. Still worth considering.
Run 0 – 1

III – THE SUPPORT

Quote :
Armor Blast
Target 1 face-up "Inzektor" card you control and 2 face-up cards your opponent controls; destroy those targets.
“Ooh. A spell Icarus Attack that only targets face-ups. That must be a good card.” WRONG. It only targeting face-ups completely kills this card. In this format, those face-ups are usually monsters. So that means you have to be taking a beating before this card becomes truly active. It’s also vunerable to Starlight Road. Dragonfly/Centipede + Hornet destroy your opponent’s field much better.
Run 0 – 1

Quote :
Inzektor’s Orb
Equip this card to 1 face-up "Inzektor" monster you control. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK and DEF. When a "Inzecter"monster you control is targeted by a card effect: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard; negate that card effect.
Extra protection. But what is it really protecting you from? 500atk and def turns the paper-thin Inzecters into Medium Thickness cardboard, whereas the Gigas turns them into reinforced steel. The targeting part isn’t even that good, because the main card that Ameise doesn’t protect you from , Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, doesn’t even target! Useless cards. Destined to forever be used as a bookmark.
Run 0

Quote :
Inzektor's Sword Zect-Calibur
Equip only to an "Inzecter" monster. The equipped monster gains 800 ATK and DEF. When this face-up card is sent from field to theGraveyard: Add 1 "Inzecter" monster from your Graveyard to your hand.
This card has very bad art, even for an equip card. The attack boost isn't too significant and as a new-era equip card, has an effect when sent to the grave. Nice card to get Inzektors from the grave and provide some attack boost.
Run 0-1

Quote :
Variable Form
Once per turn, you can choose and activate 1 of the following effects:
● Equip 1 face-up "Inzektor" monster you control to another face-up monster you control.
● Special Summon 1 "Inzektor" monster treated as an Equip Card to your side of the field in face-up Attack Position.
I really don’t see the point in this card. Why would you want to equip Centipede to Dragonfly and why would you choose to special summon Hornet rather than pop a card? Only use I can think for this card is to do with the Gigas, but even then people run very few of them. xlapus pointed out it let's you get around Skill Drain, but it still isn't a reason worth maining.

IV – THE OFF-THEME SUPPORT

Quote :
Howling Insect
Danipon
Gokipon
The Insect recruiters. Helps get crucial Inzektors to the field or hand. The main weakness of these cards in that they have to be destroyed by battle. Space can be tight in the deck and there a other ways of searching Inzektors.

Quote :
Verdant Sanctuary
Promoted in Samurai Assault, this card hasn’t provided the Black Whirlwind we were expecting for the archetype. It having to be destroyed implies you’re on the back foot, which most times you’re not. At best, it acts as MST bait. Slight saving grace is that it can combo with Howling Insect.

Quote :
Dark Armed Dragon
Allure of Darkness
Duh. They are dark.

Quote :
Armageddon Knight
Foolish Burial
Seeing as Inzektors can equip from the grave, it’s beneficial to send some. The main targets will be Hornet, the Gigas and Ameise. Armageddon Knight is the preferred method but foolish doesn’t use your normal summon.

Quote :
Summoner Monk
Another good option. Typically used to fetch Armageddon Knight, dump a card, then go in Lavalval chain. From there, it’s all up to you. Also allows use of Rank 4 xyz. The general consensus is use this or Tour guide, don’t use both.

Quote :
Genex ally Birdman
Underground Arachnid
Locomotion R-Genex
The synchro capability. Birdman adds a whole new dimension to the deck. The bounce effect means you can return a used Damsel to hand, sync away and still have Damsel for next turn. The synchro monsters themselves are just AMAZING.
Underground Arachnid provides easy monster removal and field presence. Your opponent will have to double destroy it or face another monster being sucked up next turn. They could also rfg, but think of it as one less out your opponent has.
Locomotion R-Genex is a walking otk. With Inzecters increasing their level when equipped, this card can be dropped from nowhere. With this card it’s all about timing. Be careful, Xyz don’t have levels.

Quote :
Debris Dragon
With 3 targets in the archetype (Hornet, Ameise and Gigaweevil), addition of this card is justified. An instant field nuke is a nice trick to have and if they ever make a level 10 1 material Dragon synchro, Inzecters will be all over it.

Quote :
Tour Guide From the Underworld
Leviair the Sea Dragon
Lair Wire
What deck doesn’t gain from tour guide? In this deck it provides easy access to leviair which can return rfg monsters.
Lair wire. A forgotten common in Absolute Powerforce. Not even TCG Player recognise it. Great at disrupting plays.

Quote :
Release Restraint Wave
A card whose power is decided by where Heavy Storm is on the list. Last format this card would have been run in doubles if not triples. This format, not so much. Can still be useful.

Quote :
Pot of Duality
“iRenzo you scrub, p.o.d. supports every deck.” I know but ours has an advantage of using it over others. Equipping Inzektors doesn’t count as a special summon therefore you can still perform Hornet and Centipede plays.

Quote :
Pot of avarice
You would be surprised by how many times you run out of Inzektors in your deck. No level 4s means Daigusto Emeral is out, just leaving good ol avarice.

Quote :
Dimensional Fissure
Bear with me. When Inzektor Hornet is equipped to a monster, it is counted as an equip spell card. Therefore if it activates its effect, even with Dimensional Fissure active, it will be sent to the grave. That's not all. When you an Xyz monster detaches a material, that monster would also be sent to the grave if Dimensional Fissure is active. If you plan on using a build with this card, don't forget to take out graveyard dependent cards (Sangan, Howling Insect)

Quote :
Monster Slots
This card can help inzektor to be faster in a pure deck. They're all (except the gigas) level 3 so it can work.

Quote :
Wind-Up Rat
Wind-Up Hunter
Wind-Up Zenmaighty
If you are going for Inzekt-Ups those are the monsters that are forming the engine. They have great synergy with Inzektors because they are level 3 and don't consume so much space. Wind-Up Rat along with Wind-Up Hunter and Zenmaighty loop offer us a great way of depleting opponent's hand by sending up to 3 cards from their hand to the grave. I highly recommend considering the use of the Wind-Up engine. Inzectors main plays cause a lot of minuses to your opponent with the Hornet's ability and thus they may be more hesitant to play their big plays right away. The Wind-Up engine allows you to deplete their hand as well.

Quote :

Gallis the Star Beast
If you are considering running the Wind-Up engine, also consider looking at the possibility of making it a Gallis Inzekt-Ups deck. Gallis can Special Summon itself from the hand by milling one card (similar to Glow-Up Bulb) and inflict damage if the milled card is a monster. It is level 3 and therefore is a great component in the Xyz engine. If you run Gallis, it would be better to focus your deck on primarily monsters. Jason Grabher-Meyer has constructed an article explaining in great detail about this particular deck here: http://yugioh.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=2714

Quote :
Heart of Clear water
A very useful card. It allows you to get an instant search if equipped to Centipede and also allows you to keep damsel on the field during your opponent turn.

Quote :
Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7
A new Rank 6 due to be released in Duel terminal 14 and it's giving Exabeetle stiff competition. Inzektor and Sacred are the only decks that can bring this card out with ease. It effect has great utility and has great attack to begin with.

VI – RULING CORNER

Quote :
Stardust Dragon vs Inzektor Hornet

Sending Inzektor to the grave is the cost, therefore it isn't on the field when the effect resolves. Stardust Dragon CAN chain to the effect, but Inzektor Hornet is already in the grave so it doesn't destroy Inzecter Hornet but it does negate it's destruction effect. If Stardust Dragon chains to Inzektor Hornet, the effects of Inzecter Dragonfly/Centipede still activate.

Quote :
Book of Moon vs Inzektors (APPLIES TO TCG ONLY)

-If Book of Moon is used to respond to summon of an Inzektor monster, you can use it's ignition effect first but Book of Moon will resolve first, flipping the monster face-down, and then the Inzektor Effect will resolve. Seeing as you can't equip a card to a face-down monster, the Inzektor monster effect will resolve without effect.
-If an Inzektor equipped to Dragonfly/Centipede is successfully sent to the grave, and you choose to activate the effect of Dragonfly/Centipede and your opponent chains Book of Moon, then first Damsel/Centibeet will be flipped face - down, and then the effect of Dragonfly/Centipede will activate. Book of Moon doesn't cancel out their effect in this scenario.

Quote :
Dimensional Fissure/Macro Cosmos VS INZEKTOR HORNET

If Dimensional Fissure is active, the Inzector Hornet that is treated as an Equip Spell Card can be sent to the Graveyard and its effect can be activated.
However, if Macro Cosmos is active, Cards cannot be sent to the Graveyard, so the effect of Inzector Hornet cannot be activated.

Quote :
What happens when Dragonfly/Centipede was equiped with 2 cards and they are being destroyed silmutaneously?

In this case, the effect of Inzector Damsel only activates once, and only 1 monster can be Special Summoned from the Deck.

Quote :
Hornet effect on Gigas

First, Inzector Hornet is sent from the Field to the Graveyard as a cost, allowing Inzektor Dragonfly to activate its effect once, and when the effect of Inzektor Hornet resolves destroying Inzektor Giga-Mantis, Inzektor Dragonfly can activate its effect once again.
Therefore, when Inzektor Giga-Mantis is destroyed by the effect of Inzector Hornet, the effect of Inzector Gigamantis and the two times that the effect of Inzektor Dragonfly was activated will activating forming a chain in any order.

Quote :
Black Rose Vs Dragonfly/Centipede equiped with Gigas

In the case in which Inzektor Giga-Mantis is equipped to Inzektor Dragonfly and both are destroyed simultaneously by the effect of Black Rose Dragon, the effect of Inzektor Gigamantis can be activated.
However, the effect of Inzektor Dragonfly cannot be activated.
